Senior Java Developer
Experience: Senior (5yrs)
Term: 1 year; we ideally want to staff term rather than a contractor resource, however will still consider contractors.
Start date: Position available immediately
Rate: 80k negotiable based on skills and experience
Work Location: Toronto (Yonge/Dundas)
Security Clearance: Eligible candidates must have valid federal security clearance (Minimum of enhanced)
Job Description:
For the more senior role we are looking for a hands-on java developer with experience in web services. Key words would be J2EE, web services, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), Web Service Description Language (WSDL).
- Develop and maintain high performance scalable applications for a high user volume environment
- Create and maintain detailed and accurate documentation
- Collaborate with Architects and Developers from within the epost project teams to ensure the applications are integrated and working efficiently
- Create Service Oriented Architecture implementations
- Exceptional organizational skills with the proven ability to multitask and problem solve
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and apply existing knowledge to current tasks
- Bring enthusiasm and posses a positive attitude towards position, colleagues and organization
Must Have Skills:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience with JAVA / JSP / Servlet development, involving both front and Back End development
- Experience with IDEs, such as Eclipse and NetBeans
- Experience with source control tools, such as CVS
- Experience with XML, XSD
- Excellent communication skills
Nice To Have Skills:
- Experience with Java frameworks (Spring and Struts)
